Week of March 9-15 2018

March began the month rather “lamb-like” with an opening week of 40º temperatures. Our snow cover took a beating as the warmer temperatures, ample sunshine and Sunday’s rain proved a worthy recipe for melting, as I’ve lost 10 inches of snow cover in the past week. In a rare proactive move, area schools closed on Monday, a day in advance, to avoid the January 22 snowfall mess that left many buses struggling to complete their afternoon routes.  My snow total for February was 17.8”, bringing my season total to 46.4”.
