We've settled into a drier and cooler pattern this past August. Even with reports of climate influencer El Nino expected this winter, I think we'll still be on the dry side of normal for precipitation for this September.
Temperatures over our region and beyond have been experiencing a colder than normal summer. We've really lacked any type of lengthy heat wave this summer; in fact, temperatures have been relatively comfortable for summer. Cooler than normal temperatures are favored to be with us through September.
Partly to mostly sunny skies with passing showers and thunderstorms are expected from Tuesday to Thursday, September 1-3. Light to moderate rainfall totals are possible.
Sunny skies are expected to prevail from Friday to Wednesday, September 4-9.
Partly cloudy skies with scattered showers are favored for Thursday and Friday, September 10-11.
Sunny skies are expected for Saturday and Sunday, September 12-13.
The period from Monday to Saturday, September 14-19, is favored to be dominated with clouds and rain. Moderately to locally heavy rain totals are possible with temperatures cooling.
Fair skies with cooler temperatures are expected from Sunday to Tuesday, September 20-22. Skies are favored to remain sunny with warming temperatures for Wednesday and Thursday, September 23-24.
Partly to mostly cloudy skies are likely with passing showers from Friday to Monday, September 25-28. Light rain totals are expected.
Sunny skies are forecasted from Tuesday to Thursday, September 29 to October 1.
A mix of sun, clouds and scattered showers are favored from Friday to Tuesday, October 2-6.
