Midwest September 2009

Above normal temperatures are favored. Precipitation is expected to total above normal with drier than normal for sections of the western Dakotas.

Fair skies with scattered showers, at best, are favored from Tuesday to Friday, Sept. 1-4. Temperatures should warm.

Prospects are good for a series of passing rain events from Saturday to Wednesday, Sept. 5-9. Expect soaking rains with moderate to locally heavy totals with cooling temperatures.

A fair sky with passing showers and a possible thunderstorm is expected from Thursday to Sunday, Sept. 10-13.

Partly cloudy skies and warming temperatures are favored for Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 14-15.

A rather active weather pattern with clouds and showers is expected from Wednesday to Monday, Sept. 16-21. Moderate to locally heavy rain totals are possible, especially over Minnesota. Temperatures should cool.

Fair skies are favored for Tuesday, Sept. 22.

Clouds and showers are favored from Wednesday to Friday, Sept. 23-25. Moderate to locally heavy rain totals are possible. Cooler temperatures are expected.

Fair skies with scattered showers are expected from Saturday to Wednesday, Sept. 26-30. Rain totals should be light to moderate.
