Weather Outlook:

October 2015 MIDWEST

The majority of September's rainfall totals fell over a 2-day period, September 17-18, when 3-4 inches fell, turning a dry September into a wet September. I still think we're in a somewhat dry pattern and I predict October will finish with drier than normal totals.

Temperatures trended much warmer than normal last month. I think October will continue this trend. Expect warmer than normal temperatures.

Sunny skies are favored for Thursday, October 1.

A mix of sun, clouds and scattered showers are favored from Friday to Tuesday, October 2-6.

Sunshine is expected to dominate from Wednesday to Friday, October 7-9, as showers will stay over western Iowa. Temperatures should warm to above normal.

A period of cloudiness with passing showers is favored from Saturday to Monday, October 10-12. Rainfall totals should be light.

Sunny skies are expected on Tuesday, October 13.

Party to mostly cloudy skies with a passing shower is favored on Wednesday and Thursday, October 14-15.

Fair skies are expected from Friday to Wednesday, October 16-21.

Partly sunny skies with isolated showers are favored on Thursday and Friday, October 22-23. Rainfall totals will be light.

Sunny skies are expected from Saturday to Wednesday, October 24-28.

Mostly cloudy skies with passing showers are favored on Thursday and Friday, October 29-30. Light to moderate totals are likely.

Partly sunny skies with scattered showers are expected from Saturday, October 31, to Tuesday, November 3. Cooler temperatures will be settling in.
