Weather Outlook:

Midwest November 2012

Temperatures are favored to average warmer than normal.

Precipitation is favored to total near normal.

Sunny skies are favored to open the month from Thursday to Sunday, November 1-4.

Clouds are expected to be on the increase on Monday, November 5 with showers likely from Tuesday to Wednesday, November 6-8. As the temperatures cool I wouldn't be surprised if we receive some light snow.

Sunny skies and cooler temperatures are favored for Friday and Saturday, November 9-10.

Prospects are good for at least one or two days of a good soaking precipitation event from Sunday to Thursday, November 11-15. I wouldn't be surprised to see rain change to snow. There could be a nice snow accumulation.

Mostly sunny skies and cooler temperatures are favored from Friday to Tuesday, November 16-20.

For the Thanksgiving holiday break and travel period, Wednesday to Sunday, November 21-25, we can expect passing showers early on during this period with Sunday looking like a good travel day with plenty of sunshine.

Sunny skies and mild temperatures are favored from Monday to Wednesday, November 26-28.

Thickening clouds with passing showers are expected on Thursday and Friday, November 29-30. Precipitation totals should be light with seasonable temperatures.
