It's shaping up to be an interesting summer weather-wise. We're coming off a weather pattern that gave us a rather mild winter and spring with plenty of moisture. As we head into our summer months, the upper-level winds are undergoing a change. It will be a few months before we can really tell if this change will take hold, but for now I think we'll most likely stay in a warmer and wetter weather pattern. Expect above normal temperatures and above normal rainfall for the month of June.
Prospects favor an active weather pattern from Wednesday to Friday, June 1-3, with showers and thunderstorms. Locally heavy rainfall totals are likely.
Lingering clouds and showers are possible on Saturday and Sunday, June 4-5. Temperatures should cool.
A passing shower or thunderstorm is expected on Monday, June 6, as temperatures warm.
Mostly sunny skies are favored on Tuesday and Wednesday, June 7-8.
Partly cloudy skies with scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible on Thursday and Friday, June 9-10. Rainfall totals should be light.
Mostly sunny skies are expected with only a slight threat of a shower or thunderstorm from Saturday to Thursday, June 11-16. Temperatures will warm.
Chances are good for showers and thunderstorms on Friday or Saturday, June 17-18. Locally heavy rainfall totals are likely from these storms as well as high winds.
Partly sunny skies with scattered showers are expected to linger from Sunday to Tuesday, June 19-21.
A passing thunderstorm is favored on Wednesday, June 22, bringing locally heavy rainfall totals.
Cooler temperatures with partly cloudy skies and scattered showers are expected from Thursday to Sunday, June 23-26.
Warmer temperatures will bring the likelihood of late-day showers and thunderstorms from Monday to Wednesday, June 27-29. Moderate rainfall totals are expected.
Clouds and rain are favored from Thursday to Saturday, June 30 to July 2.
