Midwest JULY 2011

Temperatures are favored to average cooler than normal. Precipitation is expected to total drier than normal.

Sunny skies are favored on Friday and Saturday, July 1-2.

Passing showers and thunderstorms are expected on Sunday and Monday, July 3-4. I think skies will be dry the evening of July 4th for everyone to enjoy an evening of fireworks. Sun sets at 8:44 so look for fireworks after 9:15.

Fair skies are likely on Tuesday and Wednesday, July 5-6.

Precipitation activity is expected to be on the increase from Thursday to Sunday, July 7-10. Moderate to locally heavy precipitation totals are likely.

Fair skies and hotter temperatures are favored from Monday to Wednesday, July 11-13.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected from Thursday to Saturday, July 14-16. Light to moderate precipitation totals are likely with seasonable temperatures.

Expect more sun than clouds with isolated showers and thunderstorms from Sunday to Friday, July 17-22. We could see brief heavy downpours during this period.

Enjoy a few days of sunny skies and hot temperatures from Saturday to Monday, July 23-25.

Showers and thunderstorms are favored on Tuesday, July 26. Locally heavy rainfall totals are possible.

A mainly dry period is expected from Wednesday to Sunday, July 27-31. We may experience a passing shower or storm but otherwise hot and dry.
