Midwest April 2009

April is expected to experience slightly above temperatures. Precipitation is expected to total below normal over central and western Dakotas and northern Minnesota. The rest of the Midwest is favored to receive above normal precipitation totals.

Variable cloudiness with passing showers is expected from Wednesday to Friday, April 1-3.

For the most part look for a period of dry weather from Saturday to Wednesday, April 4-8. Portions of the Midwest may receive an isolated shower on April 5-6. Temperatures are expected to warm.

Clouds with showers and thunderstorms are favored from Thursday to Sunday, April 9-12. Locally heavy rainfall totals are possible.

Sunny skies with cool temperatures are expected for Monday and Tuesday, April 13-14.

Isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible from Wednesday to Saturday, April 15- 18. Temperatures are favored to warm.

A more active weather pattern with showers and thunderstorms are favored from Sunday to Sunday, April 19-26. Temperature will be on the cool side with locally heavy precipitation totals possible.

Cooler temperatures with sunny skies are expected from Monday to Thursday, April 27-30.
